Like a lot of employers, we have offered health coverage that was expensive, (big deductions from your paycheck) which still left a lot for you to pay out-of-pocket. Unsurprisingly, not very many employees chose to take the coverage!

In our recent survey, it became clear that if affordable coverage were available, many of our employees would want that coverage; therefore, we have re-designed our medical benefits and have made a significant company investment, focused on providing employees access to high quality healthcare at an affordable rate. The new benefit plans will go into effect on January 1, 2019.

Affordable Coverage

Western has recently redesigned the 2019 medical benefit plan offerings. We are excited to offer a more competitive medical benefit plan that includes lower deductibles and lower employee contributions for most employees.

Western has established a limited high performing network that includes access to CareATC, Baylor Scott and White facilities, physicians, specialists and select DFW children’s specialty hospitals.

Choice

You’ll have a choice of comprehensive medical options that include prescription drug coverage for you and your eligible dependents, our redesigned PPO plan or a high-deductible health plan with an HSA component.
