Update Page

Your safety at Western is our first priority, so we want to be sure you have the most current information regarding severe weather and traffic that may impact your commute or your ability to conduct business safely at our facility.  Please contact our onsite security at 972-389-7620 with questions or concerns or 911 in an emergency.

WESTERN VISITOR NOTICES:

Overnight:

  • The southbound I-35E Sandy Lake Road entrance ramp will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. Friday, January 19 to 9 a.m. Saturday, January 20.
  • The southbound I-35E Belt Line Road exit ramp will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. Friday, January 19 to 9 a.m. Saturday, January 20.
  • The southbound I-35E frontage road between Sandy Lake Road and Belt Line Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, January 19 to 9 a.m. Saturday, January 20.
  • The southbound I-35E frontage road between Sandy Lake Road and Belt Line Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, January 19 to 9 a.m. Saturday, January 20.
  • Southbound I-35E between President George Bush Turnpike and I-635 will be reduced to one lane overnight from 8 p.m. Friday, January 19 to 9 a.m. Saturday, January 20.

Daily/Nightly:

  • As a reminder, please DO NOT park in the Harley Davidson Parking lot.  Violators will be towed with no advanced warning and at the owner’s expense.
  • For the safety of our employees, Deliveries and shipments must use the Booth Drive entrance at all times unless otherwise specified.
  • Southbound I-35E between President George Bush Turnpike and I-635 will be reduced to one lane from 8 p.m. Monday, January 15 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, January 16 and continue nightly until Friday, January 19.

Dallas Area Weather Update as of January 14th

While it is bitterly cold, we are not currently expecting precipitation so Western will operate as per normal on Monday, January 15th.  We have taken many precautions to ensure our employees are kept safe following the drop in temperatures and have also ensured the grounds are treated should Mother Nature surprise us with unexpected precipitation.

Yesterday, we hosted our 4th Quarter Employee Appr Yesterday, we hosted our 4th Quarter Employee Appreciation Luncheon, our final celebration of the year. We were honored to welcome our community partners, the Carrollton Fire Department, Metrocrest Services, the City of Carrollton Building Inspection Team, and the Osteosarcoma Institute, who joined us for the festivities, spent time connecting with our employees, and helped make the event even more memorable. This luncheon is dedicated to recognizing our tenured employees who have been with Western for 10, 20, 30, and even 40 years. Their loyalty, hard work, and commitment were celebrated with a service bonus as a token of our appreciation. But this event is about so much more than a great meal or raffle prizes. It’s about celebrating our greatest asset: our people. It’s about leaders coming together to serve, support, and thank the employees who keep Western moving forward every single day. Please join me in thanking all of Western’s own for their tremendous dedication and hard work throughout the year. Cheers to an incredible year and to the people who make Western what it is.
This past Saturday, Western Extrusions was proud t This past Saturday, Western Extrusions was proud to sponsor and participate in the Festival at the Switchyard in Downtown Carrollton! It was a fantastic day filled with music, rides, games, and community spirit. We were thrilled to connect with families, friends, and neighbors of all ages while sharing who we are, what we do, and why we love doing it. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible volunteers who generously gave their time to staff our booth. They did an amazing job engaging with the public, talking about our mission, our passion, and the exciting job opportunities available at Western Extrusions.   We were in great company alongside other community pillars like the Carrollton Police and Fire Departments. With plenty of smiling faces and free swag giveaways, the day was a huge success. We’re already looking forward to next year’s festival and another chance to celebrate with our community!
